Principal
Florin Moldoveanu, principal and founder of Verin Technology, delivers outsourced software development services to startups and established organizations. For more than 20 years as a hands on technology leader and IT executive Florin brought new products to market, created an e-Commerce platform from scratch, paid down technical debts, and turned around software development groups. Florin holds a PhD degree in theoretical physics from University of Maryland at College Park, and while working in the industry he teaches physics at George Mason University.

First Contact
The engagement starts with an initial phone discussion in which we asses your needs and our ability to help. If there is enough overlap we sign a non disclosure agreement and proceed to the next phase.
Discussion & Planning
Ideally we meet face to face (but Skype/Zoom meetings work as well) and proceed with a discovery phase where we understand in depth your requirements and we put together a proposal.

MSA and SOWs
After fine tuning and acceptance of the proposal, we will sign a Master Service Level Agreement (MSA) which details the ground rules of the engagement. The actual work is managed through Statements of Work (SOWs).
Implementation
Depending on the complexity of the project, we will set up the proper control tools, like JIRA, Trello, or Slack and will provide regular software releases. We require at the minimum a once a week meeting to discuss project status. Typically we will have a several milestones: feature complete, followed by stabilization, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Features not spelled out in SOWs can be implemented as change requests on a time and material basis.
Acceptance and Support
For small projects the code is released after acceptance and the final payment. Usually we provide hosting and production support, but at the minimum we provide software support for the period of time specified in the MSA. Support is renewable on a need basis.
